Vaping shows a rapid increase in Canada without big gains in smoking cessation

Six Insights from the Canadian Tobacco and Nicotine Survey, Report of Physicians for a Smoke-Free Canada. 14 July 2021. Findings showed that last year, “64,300 Canadians used vaping products to quit smoking compared with 535,900 vapers who had never smoked cigarettes (314,000 of whom were teenagers).”

NOTE: In Canada, vaping is increasing rapidly among non-smokers while not cutting cigarette smoking any more than other cessation methods as this statistics report shows.
