Medical students join the campaign to stop smoking/e-cigarettes. 27 Nov 2023,“The Medical Students Federation of Thailand, Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and
Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, issued a statement “asking Parliament to be free of cigarettes and electronic cigarettes.”
By joining in the drive to make Thai society smoke/e-cigarette free, these student doctors will lead Thailand toward a smoke-free society and signal an increase in the number of critical anti-smoking coalitions. This trend will become even more powerful, especially by including students in other fields of the health sciences, such as dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, public health, etc.
The World Health Organization encourages countries worldwide to survey smoking rates/knowledge about tobacco and health in health science students every five years.”
