Comment: Concern arises because nicotine addiction does not decline when alternative methods of such addiction are promoted to children, and nicotine sellers are determined to use both legal and illegal means to make sure they start kids using nicotine early. The pattern of rapid increases in e-cigarette use (vaping) by youth has resulted in the US, UK, and Australia taking steps to eliminate disposable vapes and institute strong restrictions on the accessibility and use of e-cigarettes. Thailand has banned e-cigarettes as a means of preventing the availability and use of e-cigarettes so there is not an “epidemic of e-cigarette use” by youth and the general public.
