Arguments for vaping as an aid to cessation fail

First, comparing e-cigarettes to other quit methods in the US PATH study showed they were no better than the other methods to which they were compared.
Second, other PATH-based research which adjusted for confounders when looking at e-cigarettes for quitting smoking concluded, “These results suggest that e-cigarettes may not be an effective cessation aid for adult smokers, and instead may contribute to continuing nicotine dependence.”
