The QuitSmoking Network Project

The QuitSmoking Network project is a collaborative project of several public sector groups which include: (1) A working group doing tobacco control research among adolescents in

the south of the Northeast of Thailand, (2) The Smart Quit Clinic, (3) The College of Medicine and Public Health, Ubon Ratchathani University, and (4) the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ubon Ratchathani University, led by Assoc. Prof., Dr. Anun Chaikoolwatana. The characteristics of the QuitSmoking Network project includes: (1) being a model of integration that provides smokers quit smoking consultation, (2) establishing quit smoking communities through the experience of smokers who have already quit smoking, (3) sharing problems and obstacles, and (4) obtaining directions to sort out problems and obstacles through the direct experience of smokers. The QuitSmoking Network project provides specialists to provide quit smoking advice and the monitoring of smokers’ results in quitting smoking. 

The online website provides quit smoking advice that has been developed and installed on the website of the Tobacco Control Research and Knowledge Management Center (TRC) – www.trc.or.th – which provides convenience to drive work performance, monitor and also provides easy access to smokers who want to participate in the QuitSmoking Network project.
