NEJM Evidence recently highlighted this research finding: Glantz S, et al.Population-Based Disease Odds for E-Cigarettes and Dual Use versus Cigarettes” NEJM Evidence. (DOI: 10.1056/EVIDoa2300229) by Glantz et al.
“In that report, the authors conducted a meta-analysis to estimate the pooled odd ratios for a number of health effects associated with the use of e-cigarettes, dual use of e-cigarettes and cigarettes, and use of cigarettes alone. Based on an analysis of 107 primarily cross-sectional studies, they concluded that e-cigarette use and dual use may be associated with higher health risks than commonly assumed.”
