As of September 30, 2024, tobacco retailers must also ask people younger than 30 for a photo ID to verify their age. Previously, the cutoff was 27 years old. Additionally, the ruling limits the sale of cigarettes or other tobacco products from vending machines to places where only people aged 21 years or older can enter.”

Comment: 20 is the minimum age for cigarette purchase in Thailand. Cigarette vending machines are banned.
