The second study, the Gomajee study from France isn’t talking about abstinence of either kind of cigarette, but reduction of cigarette use and quit attempts and shows an increase of smoking by former smokers by relapse through electronic cigarettes. It is important to recall that research shows dual use of both conventional and electronic cigarettes more harmful than either the use of the conventional or electronic cigarette alone.
